Lynch & White is a boutique firm of three attorneys located in Norwalk, Ohio, just about an hour west of Cleveland. We also have a satellite office in Chagrin Falls/Bainbridge on Cleveland’s East side.
Our small size means that you get personal attention and every client is important to us. We limit our practice to concentrate on certain areas. We do not handle divorces, represent criminal defendants, or represent insurance companies in personal injury cases.
Lynch & White was founded in 1995 when Richard (Rick) Lynch and Beverly White combined their separate practices. Mr. Lynch, a former IRS tax attorney, entered private practice in 1979 after spending 5+ years doing tax work for the government in Washington D.C. and Cleveland, Ohio. He joined C.J. Ruffing in 1981 to form Ruffing & Lynch, which continued until 1994.
Trial attorney Michael B. Jackson began his association with Mr. Lynch in 1993. The practice until then focused primarily in the fields of estate planning and administration, representing family-owned businesses, and federal tax disputes. Upon Mr. Jackson’s entry into the firm, the personal injury practice began to develop, representing injury victims.
Beverly White practiced law in Norwalk with her husband Phillip J. White since her admission to the bar in 1960. Mrs. White focused her practice to the areas of estate planning and administration, and family-owned businesses. In 1988, when Beverly’s husband ascended to the bench as the judge of Huron County Common Pleas Court, she practiced without a partner. Bev & Rick discussed merger on and off for several years when in 1995 circumstances brought their 62 years of combined legal experience together to form the firm of Lynch & White.
The merger in August, 1995 matched up the strengths and experience with opportunity and improved facilities. Rick and Mike Jackson moved from cramped quarters to the first class office space developed by Beverly in the Key Bank building on Main Street in Norwalk. Since 1995 Beverly has ascended to “Of Counsel” status as the senior attorney in the firm, and Mike Jackson has achieved partner status.
The firm maintains a satellite office in the Cleveland area. Mr. Lynch comes from a family of lawyers. His father, a brother and sister practice under the name Lynch & Lynch located in Bainbridge/Chagrin Falls on Cleveland’s east side.
